Clever Care Health Plan is Enhancing Culturally-Sensitive Whole-Health Medicare Options to Meet Community Needs

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA (October 1^st, 2022) – Clever Care Health Plan, a leading provider of culturally-sensitive healthcare for minority Medicare beneficiaries, is improving member access to services and care specific to the cultural needs of underserved communities.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many seniors and other Medicare beneficiaries had to internalize and manage their health struggles in isolation, lacking accessibility to vital support resources. Clever Care values the importance community has on producing better healthcare outcomes and is taking steps to improve overall general wellness with integrated Western and Eastern medicine coverage, increased community-based, in-language resources and services, and enhanced member experience through culturally-sensitive digital transformation and automation. In 2023, Clever Care is extending coverage beyond Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego counties to include Riverside and San Bernardino. Expanding into these two new counties is another step in Clever Care’s commitment to delivering high-quality, culturally-sensitive health care coverage to all Medicare beneficiaries.

Clever Care currently offers a range of HMO plans including a Part B Buydown option and new for 2023, Jasmine Medicare Advantage (HMO C-SNP), tailored specifically for members with diabetes or a cardiovascular disorder who reside in Los Angeles or Orange County.

Since Clever Care’s inception in the Spring of 2020, the company has seen exponential growth and has reached over 7,000 members. Clever Care’s Joint Operating MTGs team works with 39 participating IPA networks and 52 affiliated participating hospitals, with the number continuously growing to meet the demands of Medicare eligibles care access. Continuing into 2023 and onward, Clever Care is strengthening their healthcare ecosystems to include more hospitals, physicians, specialists, and community-centric brokers and representatives to increase and drive membership and community outreach.
